Dove season is here and you dogs are probably as excited as Colt and Rose!
You better be prepared!
Here’s a couple of quick reminders:
- When you go afield, make sure you bring ample water for each dog and a drinking bowl.
- We all look forward to a great hunt – but prior planning prevents poor performance and possible tragedy. HAVE AN EMERGENCY PLAN FOR YOUR DOGS. Know where the local vet hospital is to your hunting location and make sure you have their phone and after hours emergency numbers saved to your phone. An evening shooting dove typically puts you outside normal business hours of most vets. The unfortunate encounter with a venomous snake necessitates prevention.
- Remember a canine first aid kit, lots of stickers out there!
